What is Project SHAPE?

Project SHAPE is a great opportunity for families with an overly active child. In this program, families participate in weekly sessions of PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy) at no charge. The program provides the parents with helpful tips on managing their child's behavior and improving their relationship with their child. All Project SHAPE participants will receive parking/travel allowances and childcare during sessions.

What is PCIT?

PCIT was developed over 20 years ago by Project SHAPE director, Dr. Sheila Eyberg. Over the years it has helped hundreds of families grow closer together by teaching parents skills to strengthen their bond with their child and manage their child's behavior more effectively. Overall, PCIT helps parents and children experience less stressful and more enjoyable time together. To learn more, visit pcit.org and view our brief informational video.
